Our approach to systems infrastructure projects follows a proven model consisting of three steps: planning, implementation and management. This allows for end-to-end management of your system, no matter what size or purpose it may serve. Most importantly, our rigorous approach delivers a thorough work product without excessive labor and planning, therefore driving down the overall cost and time to market.
Planning
The planning phase is the most important part of any systems infrastructure project. Issues that are not resolved during the planning phase often continue to surface throughout the lifecycle of the system. These issues may include cost, sustainability, skill or security concerns. At Etnacom, we build risk management into everything we do, ensuring that all points of view are considered during initial planning. Not only do we utilize the best practices known to the industry, but we leverage our own past experiences as a growing business to help others through similar situations.
When we provide strategic and planning-based consulting to our clients, we start by examining the current business environment. We analyze both short-term and long-term goals as well as the financial outlook of the business. Once we’ve captured this “common operating picture,” we can move forward.
As we work with our customers to plan, we develop requirements and implementation documentation that streamlines execution during the implementation phase.
Implementation
Let’s face it: when our customers want implementation, they want to know that their project is being delivered on-time, on-budget and with the requirements promised during the planning phase. That’s the goal of our implementation team – launching a product according to what our customers expect to see.
Our staff oversees the ordering, configuration and deployment of all technology required to implement a solution. We are specifically experienced in working with smaller organizations that have little or no technology staff. Not only will we perform the heavy lifting, we can provide training and other knowledge services to our customers so that they understand and collaborate with us during each phase of implementation.
Our implementation services may include any of the following, at a minimum:
- Architecture Creation and Validation
- Custom Configuration
- On-Site or Remote Installation
- Program Management
- Testing
- Training
Management
Management includes all on-going participation in a customer’s system from deployment date onward. The focus of our management services is fully tailored depending on our customer’s need. While some businesses require full-service attention including system administration, upgrades and training, others may only require a sub-set, such as knowledge transfer and periodic evaluations. At Etnacom, our strength is in our flexibility and willingness to adapt to the roles that our customers need. Our management expertise includes:
- Application Management, Monitoring and Support
- Asset Management
- Automation and Custom Scripts
- Power, Space and Cooling Issues
- Ongoing Training and Knowledge Transfer
- Remote Troubleshooting and Support
- Security Configuration, including Critical Patch Updates
- Server or Workstation Monitoring or Management
